AR09ImageEllen Macht, a donor of The Community Foundation, believes more investment in our public education system will aid in the long-term growth of the Atlanta region. For Kim Anderson, CEO of Families First, interrelationships among nonprofits will help the sector collectively solve the problems at hand. David Geller, a professional advisor who refers clients to the Foundation, sees a brighter Atlanta where more people realize that giving is more than just financial. Community leader and executive director of Plant a Row for the Hungry of Morgan County, Jewel Hatcher envisions the entire community coming together to improve the health of one another.

Read more about each of these individuals’ visions for a stronger Atlanta in our2008-2009 Annual Report. Mailed this week, our annual report shows that despite the difficult economic times, the Foundation and our partners continue to see opportunity amidst the challenges. Last year, we received a record $126.5 million in gifts and provided a record estimated $96 million in grants.
