And the senseless killing continues…
The FBI is calling this crime an act of domestic terrorism. I would call it killing others because they appear different from me.
As bits and pieces come out about the killer, his background indicates in addition to serving in the military, associations with white supremacist groups.
Two simple questions: How many more innocent people will be killed before our political leadership finally decides to do something about controlling at least the most devastating of weapons that can now freely come into civilian hands?
And… what can we in the faith community and all who would join with us, do to increase understanding and acceptance between those who are different from one another?
The walls between us may sometimes seem impenetrable, but it is we who have built those walls. And it is we who must tear them down.
