HigherGroundGroup_0As the religious landscape of Atlanta becomes more diverse, the “city too busy to hate” must continuously seek to improve the civility and enrich the tapestry of its people through interfaith efforts. Higher Ground is one local initiative helping to accomplish such a task.

You are invited to a special presentation on Wednesday, February 6 featuring the Higher Ground Group, composed of four Atlanta faith leaders, the Rev. Joanna Adams, Imam Plemon El-Amin, the Rev. Joseph Roberts and Rabbi Alvin Sugarman

Moderated by WXIA anchor Ted Hall, the faith leaders will discuss the following topics:

  • What are religion’s roots and obligations to civic engagement?
  • What is religion’s role in the public sphere and in shaping our legislation?
  • How can religion combat the biggest challenges facing Atlanta’s community today?
  • How can interfaith dialogue and inter-religious relationships contribute to a better Atlanta?
