The Community Foundation Releases 2014 Annual Report

ATLANTA – July 6, 2015 – Today The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta announced the release of its 2014 Annual Report. The theme of this Annual Report was “What’s in a name?” Everything you need to know about The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is in our name – we passionately serve our community, we are a solid foundation for our region and we are focused on building a better, greater Atlanta by connecting resources with needs. The report features examples of how we serve the community through an array of case studies of nonprofits impacted by grants from our community initiatives, stories from our donors and examples of our impact.

Highlights of the Foundation’s work in 2014 include:

  • Over $106.2 million awarded in grants and support to nonprofit organizations, over 75% of which stayed in our 23-county Atlanta region
  • Over $79.8 million given to The Community Foundation by donors and other funders
  • Reached $930.8 million in philanthropic assets – a milestone achievement
  • Awarded 129 college scholarships totaling $481,256
