On Tuesday, April 3, guests and donors of the Community Foundation were treated to an exclusive look at the Paul R. Jones Collection from the University of Alabama at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia (MOCA GA).

Amassed over decades, Jones owned one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of 20th-century African American art in the world. Our guests admired a selection from the collection at MOCA GA, chosen from the nearly 2,000 pieces possessed by the University of Alabama. Paul R. Jones was also a donor of the Community Foundation and a friend to our organization. This collection is his legacy and we are delighted that MOCA GA is helping to share it with the Atlanta community.

Curators were on hand to answer questions and add context to the paintings, photos and sculptures on display. Our thanks to MOCA GA for hosting and to all of the guests who attended!
