Closer Look with Rose Scott focuses on stories for and about Atlantans. The new Closer Look series, Coffee Conversations, explores civic engagement, community development, health access, housing affordability and local economics in different neighborhoods located throughout Public Broadcasting Atlanta’s 13-county region with award-winning journalist Rose Scott.

Coffee shops are a gathering place for community and an ideal entryway for having conversations about neighborhood-specific challenges and successes. Each Coffee Conversations piece is filmed in a community-based coffee shop and features interviews with local community leaders, government representatives, neighbors and small business owners. The neighborhoods are selected to showcase the rich tapestry of Atlanta’s economic, ethnic, geographic and racial diversity. This series is partially supported by a grant from the Community Foundation because it amplifies community voices and fosters civic engagement. Listen to the show episodes at the Coffee Conversations digital destination here.
