Higher Ground made its second television appearance on Good Day Atlanta on Monday, March 5. The group discussed the intersection between politics and faith.

On Tuesday, February 28 Higher Ground made its television debut on Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta. The station is looking to do a series on Higher Ground, and use the four faith leaders as experts moving forward on moral leadership and inspiration for positive movement.

The Community Foundation in 2010 brought together a group of four faith leaders, later named Higher Ground, to provide a unique perspective on issues critical to the metro Atlanta region.  Each leader has made an indelible mark on Atlanta’s history, and share a common desire for a better community.

The group consists of the Rev. Joanna Adams (pastor emerita of Morningside Presbyterian Church), Imam Plemon El-Amin (imam emeritus of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam), the Rev. Joseph Roberts (pastor emeritus of Ebenezer Baptist Church) and Rabbi Alvin Sugarman (senior rabbi emeritus of The Temple).

Last year, the group took to the web via a blog, www.highergroundgroup.org/blog, in which one of the faith leaders writes a post weekly with select. Already subscribers have shared commentary that is rich with insights into how Atlantans’ heads and hearts are thinking and feeling. Now it is your turn…
