Student Loan Repayment Program
Across Georgia, higher education opens doors to opportunity. But for many graduates, student loans create financial barriers that can last for years.
Americans collectively owe an estimated $1.75 trillion in student loans. In Georgia, borrowers carry an average balance of $40,268—higher than the national average—and collectively owe approximately $66 billion.
The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is bringing together donors, nonprofit partners and local expertise to help former students become student loan-free, removing barriers to economic mobility and creating a stronger, more prosperous region for all.
Do you struggle with student debt?
Exorbitant student loan debt is a critical issue across metro Atlanta, limiting opportunities for individuals and families to build wealth and achieve stability.
CFGA launched the Student Loan Repayment Program in 2023 to help address this challenge. By helping former students become loan-free, we're removing barriers to economic mobility and advancing shared prosperity across our region.
