On Saturday, March 4, Rotary Club of Buckhead honored Community Foundation President Alicia Philipp at their annual Foundation Ball. She was recognized for her 40 years of service to the region, her success building the Community Foundation to become the region’s philanthropic leader and for providing more than $1.5 billion in support of area nonprofits in the foundation’s history.
In an interview with Neighbor Newspapers, Sam Alston, president-elect of Buckhead Rotary, commented that the two organizations share a vision and mission for boosting our region through philanthropy. “The objectives of the Community Foundation in philanthropic and community service ideals match those of Buckhead Rotary and the Buckhead Rotary Foundation.” He added, “We’re pleased to honor her because of the synergy of the two organizations working together.”
Before she accepted her honor, Buckhead Rotary showed a video that included tributes to Alicia from Community Foundation Board members, community leaders, partner organizations and friends. Congratulations, Alicia, for this well-deserved honor!
