About Jared’s Heart of Success
Jared’s Heart of Success focuses on empowering youth and young adults, both male and female, through group mentoring, prevention, opportunities, education and life leadership skills designed to build self-esteem and character for life-long success. The organization strives to enhance the lives of individuals through enrichment programs that serve and inspire individual advancement and its programs result in the increase of self-confidence and educational and personal development.
About Sharmaine Brown
Sharmaine Brown is a wife, mom and Grief & Trauma-Informed Counselor who became an advocate of gun violence prevention when her 23 year old son Jared was killed in 2015. After the untimely death of her son Jared, she founded Jared’s Heart of Success, a community outreach organization in Georgia and South Carolina educating and empowering youth through violence intervention programs.
