Now open: Nonprofit Sector Sustainability Fund applications

As a nonprofit leader, you are doing essential work across metro Atlanta with big dreams and limited resources—and we know how hard it is to keep moving forward amid funding uncertainty.

The Nonprofit Sector Sustainability Fund was created for nonprofits like yours, offering not just funding, but a partner who understands your mission and brings the expertise, credibility, and connections to help you strengthen long-term stability. As the philanthropic center of gravity for Atlanta, we strive to be that trusted partner for you.

Applications are now open for the Nonprofit Sector Sustainability Fund, a new funding and capacity-building opportunity created by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to support metro Atlanta nonprofits facing financial instability and funding disruptions.

What This Fund Offers

Ten organizations will receive:

• $100,000 over two years ($50,000 per year)
  
• Capacity building and technical assistance, including:
  
  • Monthly cohort convenings (virtual or in person)
  • Coaching, training, and support focused on:
    • Financial sustainability
    • Funding diversification
    • Scenario planning
    • Strategic partnerships

Support will be provided in partnership with Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF).

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is intended for nonprofits that:

• Serve or are located in the 11-county Metro Atlanta region
• Have annual operating budgets of $2M or less
• Have been operating for at least 3 years
• Have six months or less in operating reserves
• Have experienced government funding loss and/or significant funding declines in the past 1–2 years
• Are willing and able to fully participate in cohort-based learning and technical assistance
