The Ideas Challenge was a region-wide, social-media based competition that asked ALL residents of greater Atlanta to submit an idea to a broad community question. The goal of the Ideas Challenge was to encourage residents of Atlanta to create innovative solutions to critical community-based issues.
In 2017, the Ideas Challenge sought creative ideas, in partnership with the Center for Civic Innovation, to inform, engage and empower people around the 2017 local elections in the City of Atlanta and surrounding communities. The challenge received more than 100 applications with four winners selected.
One of those four winners was Wake Up Atlanta, a web series led by Phi Nguyen and Kavi Vu, who are dedicated to increasing the Asian Americans and Pacific Islander vote in Atlanta. Watch their introduction video below.
We are proud of the good ideas and positive impact that the Ideas Challenge program generated through the years but there are no plans for a future Ideas Challenge at this time.
