oklahoma_tornado-620x412A 2-mile-wide tornado tore through the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore on Monday, destroying entire tracts of homes, piling cars atop one another, and trapping two dozen school children beneath rubble. As of this morning, official reports confirm that 24 lives have been lost, including nine children. More than 200 people were injured. It was the deadliest U.S. tornado since one killed 161 people in Joplin, Missouri, two years ago.

The philanthropic community has responded swiftly to the horrible devastation. The destruction is so significant that it will be several days before we know the full extent of the damage. Below are recommendations for giving to support current relief efforts. Foundation donors can contact your philanthropic advisors, Audrey, Barrett, Erin, Leena and Rob at 404-688-5525, to make a gift directly from your fund.
