Bryan and Tiffany Rand were raised with the value that supporting their communities is a necessary part of life. Their families supported people and organizations they cared about, it was expected to give of your time and treasure. Now, with a growing family of their own, they hope to teach their children by example as they learned from their own parents and grandparents. They emphasize giving that provides educational and entrepreneurial opportunities to African Americans. “It goes without saying that education has been a pathway to prosperity for us and for so many other Black families,” Bryan Rand said. Proud to be building their family in Atlanta, the Rands aim to use their access, perspective and resources to provide a different viewpoint and a bridge between communities that don’t often intersect.
Rand also lends his time and financial acumen to the Foundation as a Board member, Investment Committee Chair and as an advisor to the GoATL Fund. “The Community Foundation serves as a critical nexus in Atlanta between talent, capital and philanthropy. It’s essential that I use my seat at the table to provide a unique and helpful perspective.” Donors like the Rands who go all-in make ATL stronger.
“In this time when conversations are being had about race that haven’t been had previously, we want to leverage this moment to help create a more just and equitable society for everyone.”
