Transgender Day of Visibility

Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated on March 31 around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender-nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice. 

In honor of this day, we would like to share a few resources to help raise awareness of the community’s history and voice:

• Take a walk through some of trans history’s most significant moments here.
• Visibility goes beyond seeing someone, it involves respecting and acknowledging how they would like to be addressed and spoken about. Here’s a great resource on trans terminology that can be adopted into daily use.
