Brandon Butler and Peter Kiley
Donors Since: 2024
Brandon Butler, founder of Atlanta’s cultural channel Butter.ATL, and Peter Kiley, brewmaster at Monday Night Brewing, are naturally inspired to find ways to give back to the city they love.
And at the heart of their philanthropy…collaboration.
“We’re trying to create a group of mobilizers. At some point, I hope this turns into a group project where everyone feels included,” said Brandon.
Inspired by this belief, Butler and Kiley partnered to launch The 404 Fund in April 2024, a donor-advised fund created in collaboration with the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to support scholarships and grants, youth education and employment initiatives, housing and food insecurity services and mental health programs across the ATL.
“Everyone wants to do good by the city, they just don’t always know where to go. So, we’re going to be that place. We’re going to be that safe landing spot where they can listen, they can learn, and if they want to, they can give back with their effort or their resources,” said Peter.
One way Brandon and Peter are making space for everyone to participate in philanthropy is through the creation of the Atlanta 404 Lager, a year-round beer from Monday Night Brewing. 4.04% of the beer’s proceeds circulate back into The 404 Fund. The 404 Lager is available at retail (grocery stores, package stores, etc.) and on draft at bars and restaurants around metro Atlanta and other Georgia markets.
