The Nonprofit Sector Sustainability Fund was created for nonprofits like yours, offering not just funding, but a partner who understands your mission and brings the expertise, credibility, and connections to help you strengthen long-term stability. As the philanthropic center of gravity for Atlanta, we strive to be that trusted partner for you.
Applications are now open for the Nonprofit Sector Sustainability Fund, a new funding and capacity-building opportunity created by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to support metro Atlanta nonprofits facing financial instability and funding disruptions.
What This Fund Offers
Ten organizations will receive:
- $100,000 over two years ($50,000 per year)
- Capacity building and technical assistance, including:
- Monthly cohort convenings (virtual or in person)
- Coaching, training, and support focused on:
- Financial sustainability
- Funding diversification
- Scenario planning
- Strategic partnerships
Support will be provided in partnership with Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF).
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is intended for nonprofits that:
- Serve or are located in the 11-county Metro Atlanta region
- Have annual operating budgets of $2M or less
- Have been operating for at least 3 years
- Have six months or less in operating reserves
- Have experienced government funding loss and/or significant funding declines in the past 1–2 years
- Are willing and able to fully participate in cohort-based learning and technical assistance
