One of the first steps in a new donors’ journey with us is orientation. This first meeting helps a donor’s personal philanthropic advisor develop an understanding of philanthropic interests, priorities and goals. It’s also a chance to provide a broad overview of how to best use philanthropic dollars as well as the broad expanse of expertise available through the Foundation’s team and services.
That’s where the Joy of Giving: A Philanthropic Guidebook comes in. It’s a donor’s roadmap – a physical and virtual treasure-trove of handy references for grantmaking. It helps donors expand their knowledgebase of strategic philanthropy and understand steps to growing funds for the future. All of the Foundation’s donors
receive a beautiful printed copy from their philanthropic advisor, as well as a key card with important details about accessing and managing their online fund.
The Joy of Philanthropy was revised and re-released in June to be even more useful to our donors. If you are a Community Foundation donor and would like a replacement copy, please contact your philanthropic advisor. You can also view an electronic copy here.
